Vertebral Subluxations can affect all areas of the spine. During pregnancy, subluxations are common in the sacral or SI joint. This dysfunction can interfere with correct positioning of the baby for normal head-down delivery.
The late Dr. Larry Webster, founder of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, discovered an adjustment technique known as Webster Technique. Subluxations in the sacral or pelvic area may cause tightening and tension on the muscle bundle supporting the baby in-utero.
This technique is used as a safe means to restore proper pelvic balance and function by releasing the stress on the pelvis, relaxing the surrounding ligaments and reducing the sacral vertebral subluxation to help restore more normal function.
