Meet the Team

Dr. Antoinette Biegaj

DVM

My name is Dr. Antoinette Biegaj.  I am a proud daughter of a wonderful mom and Navy serviceman. The journey that brought me to chiropractic began when I was 4 years old.  In a physical examination, the medical doctor detected that I had crooked hips and therefore I was placed in hip braces, leg braces and special shoes from the age of 4 to age 6.

When nothing had changed in those two years, my parents were advised that I would probably be cripled.  Fast forward two more years and at the age of 8, in 3rd grade, there was a Chiropractor performing scoliosis screenings in my school and every student was tested.  I tested positive for scoliosis.  When my parents received the literature they brought me to a chiropractor and within a few visits, my scoliosis began to be corrected because I was so young AND my hips became balanced -you see I did not have crooked hips, I had a crooked spine.

This changed my life forever and that is why at the age of 8, I knew I was going to be a chiropractor.  At age 11, while playing with my younger sister, I hit my head so hard on something that a blood clot was formed and I ended up in Intensive Care with a coma at the Medical University of SC.

After 2 weeks in Intensive Care, the Neurosurgeons were removing my blood clot when they found a brain tumor.  The tumor was benign but I underwent radiation treatment everyday for 6 months afterward (thus my thin hair) to ensure complete remission.

The blood clot ended up being A Blessing in Disguise as the brain tumor might not otherwise have been found. Fast – fast forward and following my original goal I graduated in 1997 from Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia.  In my years of Chiropractic practice. I have continued learning and studying and received extensive training in neurologically focused chiropractic care, pediatrics and pregnancy.
